We love to the enjoy the outdoors by going hiking in the Wildlife Refuge thats about 20 miles away. Live buffalo, mustangs, elk, longhorn, and tons of trails with history from back in the cowboys and indians era. We try and go hiking at least once a week just to get out and enjoy nature.
We love to go on long walks every evening.

We like going to the park and playing on the playground and having picnics.

We love to watch for wildlife. We live in Maine so there is so much to see if you take the time to notice and enjoy. I have seen several moose and I am hoping that my 10 year old gets to see one too.

After living on the 3rd floor of an apartment building for several years, our family finally moved into a house. We used to haul outdoor items up and down 3 flights of steps each time we wanted to be outside, which is quite often with two children under 6. Now that we have the house, the children love exploring the backyard, watching the chipmunk frolic around the woodpile and observing the various birds living in our trees and we aren't needing to plan or pack in order to go outside. We have been to state parks, the beach and just for long walks around the neighborhood. (lrhunton@comcast.net)
